bazolomewWell I'm feeling much better today.
After purchasing my first ever pair of steel-toed Doc Martens and hanging out with Ben, Loafie, and Mike last night for far longer than I should have, I realized that I really just need to get out of my own head more often. That, plus a few much-needed housekeeping changes to suit my current fandoms better. Though I'm currently being plagued by three at once, Deadpool really comes out on top right now. I'm sure as soon as more people return to BDS after seeing the sequel I'll be more interested in making a BDS header. For now, though, the Merc with the Mouth wins.
After seeing Ryan Reynolds be fantastic in Wolverine: Origins, I jumped on the bandwagon like all the other Ryan Reynolds fans. I immediately downloaded Deadpool's complete comic collection, including his random appearances in random comics not his own, and am currently making my way through them. And, wonder of wonders, I've fallen in love with Deadpool outside of Ryan as well. I now cannot wait for the Deadpool movie, and am excited to be ready for it this time, instead of sitting through the movie wondering what is real and what they made up.
Besides Deadpool, Boondock Saints is high on my list. All Saints Day kicked ass (even though I truly did not recognize Sean Patrick Flannery at first... even after he shaved >.< ) and I'm sitting here dying for new and more MacManus Brothers fic. That and trying to convince myself I can stand to wait 3 months for the DVD and not pay 8 more bucks to see it again in the theatre.
And finally, I've once again fallen in love with the Buffy/Angel fandom after rereading a few choice fics on my harddrive. I'm currently in the middle of rewatching Angel Season 5 and I can't believe how much of it I'd completely forgotten. The whole psycho slayer episode? Yeah didn't remember one. damn. thing. I'm sitting here going, holy shit! Zomg Spike no! Tom Lenk?!?! Wtf!?!?
Needless to say, my fire is being fueled again. Unfortunately all of them are hitting me at the same time and I can't find good outlets for any of them. Most of the Angel fic I read is old and I've already read it... and the same problem with BDS right now. Though I haven't found any Deadpool fic yet... I'm kinda enjoying him in real form in his comics instead of sifting through multiple bad authors to find the few good gems. Plus... I don't know who I'd see him with. I liked him with Siryn but that's mostly over now, and he's just been laid recently by a chick named "Outlaw" (who seriously reminds me of Julie Benz's character in BDS:ASD...) but I don't know anything about Outlaw yet.
Plus with all this, there's the fact that my mom and I just got tickets to see Star Wars: In Concert at the Q Arena tomorrow night... so I'm sure Star Wars will re-join my list tomorrow.
